New Cardiovascular Practice Expands

We are very pleased to announce that effective today Interventional Cardiologist Ernest Pickering, D.O. FACOI, has joined South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists to further expand Tulsa's first comprehensive cardiovascular practice that offers patients one office for all their cardiology needs. Dr. Pickering joins Dr. John Ivanoff, Dr. David Miller and Dr. John Carabello in practice. This level of cooperation between cardiovascular surgeons and cardiology within a single practice will strengthen our leadership in quality outcomes while setting new standards for streamlined cardiovascular care including the prevention, diagnosis, medical treatment, interventional treatment, and surgery for cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases. South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists is affiliated with SouthCrest Hospital and is located on the SouthCrest Hospital campus in Suite100 of SouthCrest Medical Plaza. Most of you know Dr. Pickering as he has been providing our patients quality care since the hospital’s opening in 1999. In fact, Dr. Pickering’s patient outcomes have been a significant factor in SouthCrest achieving multiple outstanding rankings in the area of cardiology by HealthGrades. Currently, SouthCrest is ranked Oklahoma’s number one cardiac surgery program in 2008 and has been Oklahoma’s number one Coronary Interventional Procedures program for the past three years in a row.
Dr. Pickering is a cardiology specialist trained in noninvasive and invasive cardiology with subspecialty expertise in cardiac catheterization and angioplasty. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Pickering is Chief of Cardiology at SouthCrest Hospital and past Chief of Cardiology at Tulsa Regional Medical Center which now is OSU Medical Center.
