Hillcrest South has been recognized for the first time by the nation’s most prestigious honor for patient safety with an “A” spring 2023 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade. The grade acknowledges Hillcrest South’s full commitment to providing the safest care to patients and protecting them from harm, solidifying the hospital as a strong leader in the Tulsa community.
“Being a Leapfrog A hospital is an external validation to a tremendous amount of effort by our team members here at South,” said Hillcrest South Chief Executive Officer Bennett Geister. “We know the things we are doing are making an incredible impact on our patients and one another, but to be recognized publicly for our efforts is yet another reason why I’m so proud to work at Hillcrest South.”
Guy Sneed, D.O., chief medical officer (CMO) at Hillcrest HealthCare System, echoed similar sentiments.
“Being awarded the top hospital safety letter grade by the preeminent patient safety organization in the U.S. is no small feat, and one that only a handful of hospitals in Oklahoma can claim. It is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication to putting patients and their safety first,” said Dr. Sneed. “We are extremely proud of Hillcrest South for being nationally recognized and receiving an A letter grade by the Leapfrog Group, and we are excited to share this news with our patients and the communities we serve.”
