Our distinguished team of physicians is committed to providing the most effective and compassionate cardiac care possible. Meet Our Physicians
Anthony P. Burke, D.O., Interventional Cardiologist, is a member of South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists, a practice affiliated with SouthCrest Medical Group. Prior to joining South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists, Dr. Burke was an interventional cardiologist at the Center for Cardiovascular Medicine.
He completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Tulsa Regional Medical Center, now Oklahoma State University Medical Center in 2008. Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Burke completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and his Internal Medicine internship at St. Francis Medical Center, also in Pittsburgh. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Lebanon Valley College in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Burke is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, American Osteopathic Association, Osteopathic Founders Foundation, American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

John A. Carabello, D.O., is a dual board-certified cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon in practice with South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists, a practice affiliated with SouthCrest Medical Group. Dr. Carabello completed a cardiothoracic fellowship in Brooklyn, New York, at The State University of New York/Maimonides Medical Center. Prior to this, he completed his general surgery residency in Tulsa at Tulsa Regional Medical Center.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Carabello earned his D.O. degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Carabello is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association and Oklahoma Osteopathic Association. He serves on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association.

Stephen C. Dobratz, M.D., F.A.C.C., Interventional Cardiologist, is a member of South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists, a practice affiliated with SouthCrest Medical Group. In 1997, Dr. Dobratz was dual-board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine. He is currently board-certified in Nuclear Cardiology. He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology.
He joins South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists after being in private practice in Tulsa for 13 years. Dr. Dobratz received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, prior to attending medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed an internship and residency program in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona. He completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital.
Dr. Dobratz is a member of the American Medical Association, Oklahoma Medical Association, Tulsa County Medical Society, American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

John Ivanoff, M.D., Cardiology, is a member of South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists, a practice affiliated with SouthCrest Medical Group. In addition to his practice, he serves as the Medical Director of the SouthCrest Cath Lab program and as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa.
Dr. Ivanoff specializes in interventional cardiology, which includes cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty and related interventional procedures such as stents, atherectomy and direct PTCA for acute myocardial infarction.
Dr. Ivanoff completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital and his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ivanoff received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his Masters degree in biochemistry and his B.A. at Columbia University.
Dr. Ivanoff is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Arash Karnama, D.O., Interventional Cardiologist, is a member of South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists, a practice affiliated with SouthCrest Medical Group. Dr. Karnama joins SouthCrest Medical Group after completion of a fellowship in cardiology at Oklahoma State University Medical Center.
Originally from Iowa, Dr. Karnama received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Iowa before attending medical school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed an internship and residency program in Internal Medicine at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Karnama is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Internists and Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.

David J. Miller, D.O., FACOS, is the department chair for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at SouthCrest Hospital. He joined South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists, a practice affiliated with SouthCrest Medical Group, after nine years of successful private practice in Tulsa.
Dr. Miller is board certified in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, having completed his residency at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and general surgery residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. His surgical expertise is nationally recognized for beating heart surgery, complex cardiac valve repairs and endovascular treatment of aneurysms.
He has been a major contributor to the recognition SouthCrest Hospital has received for its Heart Hospital.
