The 6th floor of SouthCrest Hospital is home to Tulsa’s Heart Hospital’s expanded services and features 32 all-private rooms, including eight beds dedicated to interventional cardiac patients and 24 to general medical/cardiac patients. The interventional unit consists of highly sophisticated equipment designed to monitor patients following cardiac catherization and peripheral vascular procedures, such as angioplasty, rotoblator and stent placement. This new, carefully designed unit, along with our specialized nursing staff, makes for a smoother and more comfortable recovery.
SouthCrest – Tulsa’s Heart Hospital also includes three high-tech cardiac cath lab suites that provide the finest in digital cardiac imaging. A wide range of testing and imaging procedures take place in the cardiac cath lab, as well as interventional treatments such as stents, balloon, angioplasty, pacemakers, defibrillators, and electrophysiology studies. These procedures correct a wide range of cardiac diseases including coronary artery disease and cardiac dysrhythmia, and also often eliminate the need for open-heart surgery.
