Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Unstable, critically ill and/or injured patients are cared for in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Our ICU medical staff and physicians have extensive, specialized training and clinical experience. Although at times blinking lights and bleeping monitors can be bewildering to visitors and patients, the medical technology in ICU is designed to provide the highest quality of healing and care. Our ICU medical staff will be happy to answer questions and to explain to patients and visitors about our equipment and patient safeguards.

Visitation

You may receive visitors, age 12 and older, whenever you wish. Please have your loved ones check in at the Nurses’ station prior to visiting.  Keep in mind that rest is vital to your recovery and we encourage you to not overtire yourself by setting your own limits with regard to visitation.  We suggest family members and visitors maintain their own rest patterns by returning home each night to sleep.

Waiting Room

The ICU Family Waiting Room is open at all times for family members and friends who are waiting on loved ones. To reach family or friends in the ICU waiting room, please call (918) 294-4399.
