Diabetes Center

Located in SouthCreek Medical Plaza, 9001 S. 101st E. Ave., Suite 350, we are an outpatient program that specializes in helping people effectively manage their diabetes. We work with type 1 and type 2 diabetics, gestational diabetics, and prediabetes patients of all ages. 

 

We offer both individual counseling and a three-week diabetes education class to fit your personal learning style and schedule. Learn more about Diabetes in our Health Resources Section.

Specialized Services

 

Medical Nutrition Therapy

We provide education for most chronic diseases, in addition to diabetes. Nutrition counseling is offered for a variety of conditions including:

·         Weight management

·         High cholesterol

·         High blood pressure

·         Celiac disease

·         Childhood obesity

·         Gastrointestinal conditions

 

Intensive Insulin Management

Once insulin orders are established with your physician, our nurse educator will work individually with you toward achieving the goal of tight blood sugar control. Techniques for injecting and titrating insulin are part of the education as well.

 

Insulin Pumps

Insulin pump starts and intensive training are also available. Our nurse educator will take you step by step in this process.
