What made you decide to come to a brand new hospital? I was so involved with Tony in planning his dream for a "southTulsa presence" since he first came to Tulsa in 1991 that it became a part of me to.
Why have you stayed for 10 years? I truly enjoy my job and the privilege of being a part of SouthCrest Hospital.
What do you think is the biggest change over the past 10 years? Expansion of the specialty services and the ability to change with the growth.
What do you envision for the next 10 years? Continuous growth and expansion of the hospital and a new 2nd Tower.

What made you decide to come to a brand new hospital? Size and close to my home.
Why have you stayed for 10 years? The hospital has been very good to me. I appreciate the helpfulness, considerate, and caring managers I have had at SouthCrest. Our CEO, Tony Young, has been such a blessing to work with, and is unlike any other that I have worked for in my 43 years of my nursing career.
What do you think is the biggest change over the past 10 years? Continuing to increase services, and updating equipment. Of course, the patient census has grown, and with that the numbers of staff, so not as small as when we opened, and not knowing as many of the associates.
What do you envision for the next 10 years? Continued growth.
One word to describe SouthCrest: Outstanding
Any additional comments: In my 43 years of nursing, I have never worked where the CEO was as accessible to staff as SouthCrest. Tony Young meets, greets and knows almost everyone by name. I have so much respect for him, and appreciate his kindness.

What made you decide to come to a brand new hospital? It is a rare opportunity to be involved in opening a new hospital. I had heard Tony Young talk about a new hospital for several years and I knew I wanted to be involved.

What do you think is the biggest change over the past 10 years? Almost everything has changed but I think the thing that hasn't changed is what is most important and that is the emphasis on quality.

What made you decide to come to a brand new hospital? A friend of mine - that I worked with at another hospital - opened the ICU here and asked if I would work per diem to help with staffing.

What made you decide to come to a brand new hospital? I worked at Doctors Hospital with Tony when he told me about plans to build SouthCrest. I said, “Take me with you!”.
Why have you stayed for 10 years? I plan to retire from here. My “work family” is here so why would I leave? I care about patient care and employees; I love helping people.
What do you think is the biggest change over the past 10 years? Expansion of the building – adding the 6th floor, building out the 5th floor, adding ICS to 6 tower, building new medical buildings…
What do you envision for the next 10 years? More growth. Hopefully covered parking!

Favorite thing about SouthCrest: Whenever you need something there is always someone to help. That wouldn’t happen in larger hospitals. Here you know everyone.
What made you decide to come to a brand new hospital? I had just sold my business and wanted to do some volunteering. St. Francis is just a few blocks from my house, but they had plenty of volunteers. I picked SouthCrest because it was just opening.
Why have you stayed for 10 years? Because I love what I do and I have a very dedicated volunteer base in the gift shop.
What do you think is the biggest change over the past 10 years? The medical buildings and additional patient rooms being added
What do you envision for the next 10 years? Another tower and a new, larger gift shop!
