SouthCrest sits just off Highway 169 and 91st Street, which makes it convenient to serve the Metropolitan Tulsa area of 1.2 million residents. With over 1,000 employees and 800 physicians, the hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services including maternity, cardiology, emergency, orthopedics and surgery. SouthCrest Anesthesia Group offers in house physicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so that an immediate response is available for surgical and maternity patients needs. SouthCrest Medical Group, now in its third year of operation, is SouthCrest Hospital's premier medical group, consisting of involved, committed and skilled primary care physicians. The group currently employs 36 Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and OB/GYN physicians located on the hospital campus and several south Tulsa locations. The majority of the physicians have been in practice in the Tulsa area for several years and are well known in the community. Since opening in 1999, this 180-bed hospital has invested $44 million in expanding services, bringing the total capital investment into the community to $106 million dollars. Completed Expansion Projects
- Construction of the three-story SouthCrest Medical Plaza, October 1999
- Addition of five labor, delivery and recovery suites, three in January 2000, two in July 2003
- Opening an Ambulatory Surgery Center with four operating suites, March 2000
- Development of a Cardiovascular Center featuring three catheterization labs, May 2000
- Expansion of the hospital operating room to add four surgical suites, September 2001
- Completion of the fifth floor with 21 additional beds, December 2001
- Addition of a sixth floor, home to SouthCrest-Tulsa’s Heart Hospital, which features eight intervention cardiac care beds and 23 general cardiac beds, August 2002
- Opening of the SouthCrest Wellness and Sports Medicine Center, a partnership with Union Public Schools, April 2004
- Construction of the three-story SouthCreek Medical Office Building, March 2005
- Development of SouthCrest Medical Group, a Primary Care physician group consisting of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and OB/GYN physicians, June 2006
- Development of ER Fast Track for minor illnesses, June 2007
- Opening of the Outpatient Diagnostic Center, June 2007
- Development of Outpatient Rehab, June 2007
- Addition of Cardiac Rehab, January 2008
